Does anyone know the current situation with regard to the much delayed new DTV platform 'Youview'.
Latest info I have found suggests that trials are taking place this month although exactly what this means is unclear eg is it trade only, are new boxes actually available? With such high profile players involved ie BBC, ITV, BT, Arqiva and Sir Alan Sugar it is strange why this this project is kept under wraps with the public at large generally ignorant (due to lack of publicity) about its potential. One would think that now is the time to promote it with DTV switch-over taking place especially in the mass market London area or is it perhaps another technical 'white elephant'. |
