Hi Guys

I thought I would give a heads up on this insurance company and also ask if anyone else is having problemsvwith them. They approached me after checking my NICEIC membership. Called and asked If I would attend a fault for one their insured locally. I agreed and visited and solved the issue. Had a couple of more call outs for them. Problem I am having is they jusr won't pay the invoices, one is over 6 months old now, I call accounts get told it will be sorted, therre are no issues and then nothing. Anyone else had issues with this company? They are registered in Pontefract.

I've just sent invoices to their clients with a statement that as their insurance company hasn't paid me they are now responsible for settling the debt. That should casue some friction!!!

Friction? Check out the NICEIC and Gassafe registrations to see if the use of the logos on the website is acceptable.

Is the debt worth your time to call in to their office with a final demand invoice printed in red Capitals and not leave for a couple of hours without seeing the manager about immediate payment? If not just chalk it up to a tax loss and CPD, where the lesson is that insurance companies can be guaranteed to be less than scrupulous in their business dealings!

I did one job that CL oversaw, they sent a international remediation company in who left the dryers and fans in the clients house for six weeks without plugging them in. I then quoted for dealing with the black mould that had developed in amongst all the other work to be told my price was excessive and not as the schedule, I pointed out out that that I did not have a copy of the surveyors schedule and had quoted based on the survey I had done myself and had merely quoted to clear up the mess the idiots they had sent in to dry the place out had left.

I did the job in the end, but the customer was not fully reimbursed for the cost. Needless to say I have had a short career in insurance remediation work!
