Unusually in the U.K., but is it?

I have been on a job in the past where someones slippers had had a hole burnt in them by the focused sun ray's of the type/style of glass in a french door.

reminds me of an occasion I'd been wiring something on the table at home when sunlight through the bench magnifier pushed carelessly to one side has set light to a plastic pouch of Allen keys.
I'm normally fairly sharply tuned to detect hot smells, and had everything isolated and discharged before I spotted the real cause.
I was actually pleased I was there when it happened, and I now throw something over it when not in use.

regards Mike

Isn't there a new building in London with curved glass that was causing similar problems to the buildings & highway next to it?
