I think i will never touch an emergency light job again, they are just not worth the grief.
Just had another 9 out of 18 LED fittings fail, 6 have already been replaced.
Are there any decent LED fittings out there? These were not cheap so am disappointed to say the least.

Every time this happens its weeks wait to get new ones, even if they are graitis, and a 70 mile round trip to put the stupid things in.

What make are they Pete ?

We've put in a lot of Thorlux LED downlights, LEX Signage and Mini 8 LED bulkheads with little or no problems during the first few years at least. We've also specified or approved other mnufacturers without too many issues

No connection with Thorlux - just a reasonably happy specifier.

Is it just failure out of the box, or are there temperature issues with the encosed nature of the luminaire and installed location.

If you are running NM, then it's still difficult to beat a reasonable quality fluorescent luminaire.

Regards

I reckon if Carlsberg made fittings they would probably be the best fittings in the world.
