An unsatisfactory report is a snapshot of the installation at that time, it shouldn't be altered and re-issued as satisfactory, using the same reference details after corrective work. As I understand it, corrective work requires separate certification, e.g. a MWC with a reference and attachment to the original report.

I agree with Jaymack - Unsatisfactory EICR + MWC/EIC for each repair for every failure = satisfactory. If the customer wants an EICR re-doing, then they're free to commission & pay for such a thing, but it isn't necessary.

Just to add - there should be no presumption or encouragement for the person/organisation doing the inspection to pick up any repair work (indeed good practice should suggest the reverse in an ideal world). So there should be no general assumption that the EICR can be 're-issued' on completion of the repairs without a re-inspection and re-test.
