If you or your customer in this case does not have a master socket and has where in my customers case a jointbox where two phone points joined into incommer under the floor then BT when upgrading to fiberoptic upon discovering the no master point then bt cut phone line off for over three weeks even although we sorted the start joint box within 3 days of BT original visit

we had similar when we swapped over to fibre. They cut us off whilst they did all the connections at their cabinet. When they came to our house it wouldnt work and showed a fault. we were left with no broadband for 3 weeks. they fault was a reversede polarity in their cabinet.
