Asked to do an extension. A lowered ceiling has been removed and has now revealed .....
The 3phase supply comes in to their detached garage. There is a little board in the garage and a 100A 3P+N fused isolator.
Going out of this to the house is a 25mm conduit with 4 single sheathed black 10mm singles.
This terminates in the house by simply sticking out of the conduit - a little gooseneck then straight through the wall to the back of the consumer unit in the house. All this was previously hidden in the lowered ceiling.
Then an 591 earth clamp at the very end of the conduit also behind the house board, has a 10mm earth conductor. This obviously goes through the wall.
Therefore on a previous scan, the board in the house looked ok.

Does this arrangement sound ok, if i tell the customer they must leave the area behind the house board in a lockable cupboard ?
Regards
Ady

Hmmmm
Not a bad idea - available room may be an issue, but still a good idea
Thanks
