Hi guys.
I have a customer who has a building with a single phase supply. He has asked me to supply a completely separate 3 phase CU for some 3 phase equipment, ( welder etc) which he plans to feed via a generator as and when needed.
Am I permitted to run circuits from both supplies in the same trunking that is to run round the top of the building or do they have to be kept separate. I don't see a problem but just checking that I haven't missed anything.

Also I have a PME earth available, am I permitted to use this to earth the board that feeds the geny circuits ?

Yes, you can use the same containment

Yes you can use a common means of earthing

You will need to look at where any N-E bonds for the generator ar positioned relative to the PME N-E bond to avoid defeating RCD protection
