Hi all I need to buy a 3core cable with mechanical protection incorporated ...so I don't need rcd protection...does anyone know the brand name of it and a supplier?...cheers

SWA, steel wire armoured is often used, though this is a type of cable not a brand name.
Any reputable brand should be fine, should be stocked by most wholesalers.

A less popular choice is MICC, mineral insulated copper covered, any wholesaler should be able to order.

I'm after the cable they released after regs changed incorporating rcd protection for cables less than 50 mm deep...it's like a fp200 with a metallic inner sheath...used some a few years back..just carnt remember name of it

I think the one you're talking about is BS8436 Sammy, one brand name for it is Flexshield, i've never used it as i've never found a supplier localy that stocks it (or even heard of it for that matter!)
