Hi

Does anybody know if you have to bond metal work tops with a 4mm bonding cable. The work tops are fixed on top of chip board wooden work tops currently which sit in top of the cupboard units

Answers please??

Almost certainly not

If you want a tad more certainty, then test the resistance to the main earthing terminal of the installation

I'd be very suprised if they were extraneous and required bonding though.

Unless it's a contract condition of course - and even then I suggest you would be in a good position to make a reasoned argument why they don't require bonding

regards
