Hi. I have looked through the internet for anything to do with the EU rulings for van emissions as last year all vans before the '02' plates could not enter London, ( it's a crap hole anyway ), and my son reckons that from next year the year of manufacturing for vans emissions will change agin meaning that all vans of a certain age will once again have to buy newer vans to comply.

I have checked the net out and only found an article about manufactures of vans will have to upgrade something or other and in 2014 but nothing that relates to vans after the '02' fiasco last year.

Anyone have any info on any changes for vans emissions in 2014??

I seem to recall that it isn't an EU ruling but a 'Boris' rule as part of the Low Emission Zone

Something along the lines of vehicles needing to comply with EURO IV/V emissions rating or similar.

I avoid London like the plague and go by train if I have to go there.

Hi again. I have looked around and still cannot find anything to do with the 2014 emision for vans so I must assume its not going to happen.

From the transport for London website: "The Mayor announced on 13 February 2013 that the next phase of the LEZ will only apply to TfL-operated buses in 2015. Operators of diesel lorries and coaches do not need to take any action."

Hi and thanks for that as my son was worried about having to buy another van for his sparking works.

Well done!
