The servers are fine, but we ran out of digits for the message-post counter. Glad to say new stocks arrived today

Well, you know how it goes - sometimes we run away to see who follows ?

I've been thinking though - you know the Hokey Cokey, when all is said and done, that might be really what it's all about

Shame you did not set back OMSs score count to zero so someone else could have had a shot at wearing the yellow jersey.

Does that mean I need to go on Oprah and confess to using a performance enhancing version of BS 7671, John - and worse, bullying others into using it as well

LoL - normal ?

You, my friend, need to go and beg, borrow, steal or otherwise blag yourself a copy of an album called "out along the wire" by a guy with the name of Tristran Mackay - and then make it your featured album of the week.

I received a copy in the post (thanks kindly) - it's well worth a listen

Still here (track 8)? Welcome back Grasshopper. Glad the ex-busker hit the spot. Methinks you might be a bit of a folkster at heart. He was spotted outside Kingston Upon Thames Tube station. Main influences are Mark Knopfler and James Taylor but I can hear Clapton too. I mess with the blues tracks. Don't you just love iTunes vouchers? You can take chances with them.

So, you got yourself deleted, sat in a layby and listened to stuff. Not bad.

I was, however, quite looking forward to you returning incognito with a question about TT on a shed or the like and starting some fires. Oh well. Next time.

My shed doesn't have any electricity but I use a torch in there. should I install an earth rod?

That's the one, madam - thanks

LoL - life's lottery writ large - I spent an eveing in a pub with Mark Knopfler back in the eighties - I guy I was working with at the time was mates with the drummer - and the band just dropped in to say hello, as you do.

There are worse ways to go, trust me

LoL - now that would be breaking the forum rules, Zs - although I suppose it's the difference between blind adherance and guidance

Well, it comprises a system under EAWR - and some believe anything conductive could be a conductor and the would require earthing - so if you subscribe to that school of thought, yes, put in an electrode and when you enter the shed, have a flying lead of at least 4.0mm2 ready for connection to the torch (tip, make the lead long enough, but no longer, than the size of the shed) - the guy who believes that has a few gods and monsters though. My advice, when you go down the shed, wear boots and tie a bit of baler twine around the ankles of your jeans - stops the mouses

Talking of Mark Knopfler...

I remember back in about 1975 ish I think, I received a cassette tape from a mate in the music industry of a band that he said would be huge. There was a song on it that I heard on the wireless about a year later. It was called Sultans of Swing. That's true. They didn't do too bad did they.

Also, regarding OMS. When I read this morning that he was goneskie I was most alarmed. I knew it would not be due to any form of spat. This man has argued with everyone on the forum. Always loves a fight, and, most importantly, never takes things too personally. So I was alarmed. And I would like to say, that faced with him no longer posting, I realised that I had learnt more from his posts, replies, advice and encouragement than anyone in all my 35 years of business and 41 years in the trade. He is truly a font of knowledge. And sometimes a git. See, he's not perfect!
