"Well all schemes combining one register even if keeping their own separate identities within it would have been a good idea. "
Separate identities? Just look at the heading of the Twitter in the original post: Electrical Register @ElecSafeReg The Electrical Safety Register has been created by the Electrical Contractors' Association (ECA) and the Electrical Safety Council (ESC). UK ยท electricalsafetyregister.com The king is dead, long live the king! Unless I have got it wrong from reading the Certsure press releases, come April you NICEIC guys will have the hair dryers out peeling your NICEIC stickers off your vans to make room for the new stickers promoting the new image and the new logos that come with that image. It's really sad the schemes couldn't get their head together on this, before I found out there were two registers I thought it was great, finally they're getting their act together! But now I see they're just complicating things again. Our customers are going to be very confused at a time when we need to be making things simple for them to understand. Also, just think of the coverage that could be achieved if they were all promoting just one register!!
It's a crying shame. |

The Two New Electrical Registers: "electricsafe" & "electrical Safety Register"
Like that advertisement for Wheetabix and Oatabix, some bright young woman, will say lets call it The electrical safe register. Sorry CERTSAFE LIMITED (Date changed 24/10/2012) Sorry CERTSURE LIMITED (Date changed 05/11/2012). Sorry certelec Ltd. Sorry that a contractor. http://www.certelec.com/partpinspectionandtesting.htm Why not the Third party Electrical Register To put in a few sockets in a kitchen: You have: Government approved electrical registers: Approval by UKAS, to Third party Electrical contractors: After April 2013: to provide: Third party electrical testers: Overseen by a visual electrical inspection from: Department of commutes and local Government LABC. See AD P 2013. Meanwhile we eat horses and no inspections; The cowboys are having a field day; do not know about their horses though. You could not make all this up. |

"The cowboys are having a field day; do not know about their horses though."
It'll slow the cowboys done when we've eaten all their horses, how will they get onto the job? Andy |
