I see the NIC are bringing out on-line certificates. £1.00 a time. I use hand written paper ones at the moment so this is considerably more expensive than that ( completion and EICR works out at about 50p and minor works are about 10p at the moment so i doubt i will bother) .

however i would think it will have a big impact on these software companies that a lot of you guys more up with it than i am use, as there will be no need to keep upgrading and updating software packages every time there is a change..

Didn't Elecsa have an On line Certification service.
Was free as far as I recall.

I don't know Spin. this headlines saying its free to NIC registered contractors then further down it says its £1.00 per certificate.

If i didnt have any software then i might consider it, but otherwise i'll stick to my easycert package.

A pound a cert is expensive and means you need an internet connection and pc/laptop to do the cert.

As I understand it that includes the printing of the cert and postage to your client, so perhaps, not so expensive?
I'm thinking about it as I don't have any software at the moment.
Having had a demo it has quite a few advantages for me.
Especially as I use a tablet on 3G when mobile.
