Bit of a lame question, so ill apologise in advance. Don't do domestics but have been asked to change a downstairs centre light to two downlights. Upstairs is tiled obviously :.\ so was wondering what is the best method of doing this as I don't want to have an inaccessible JB.

Depends if the existing cables can be pulled to one of the new positions. I like the click downlighter connectors - http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/TLCT100C.html - assessable through the downligher hole (although I prefer the other version with screw down cable grips).

If the cables don't reach then a maintenance-free JB pushed back through the old hole before making good would be acceptable.
