hi ya im new here.i have a job to replace an office lighting 600/600 and 1200/600 recessed modular light fittings but it is not on a conventional tbar system.the fittings fitting under the grid not on the grid and the fittings need to have a wing type in each corner of the fitting that when opened poke out and sit on a grid type.you then screw up the screw which pulls down on the grid and lifts the fitting up into the cieling to sit flush under the the cieling tiles.what i need to know is what is the name of these type of fittings as im having trouble trying to locate them.

all contructive input would be gratefully excepted

it soudns like you are describing a fire rated ceiling and the lights to suit, would that make sense?

A photo would be good! I've used something similar in the past made by Siteco, very expensive though!

is this a conventional T bar type ceiling, or something fabricated out of plasterboard and metal grid?
Would a normal drop in fitting work? as the type you describe isnt very common.
