Hi Peeps

Having a row with some air source installation guys after they installed this meter on to the SY flex feeding the Pump i installed for them..

Nice hey! oh course they are specialists.

I have tried to say this does not comply with the regs but they want me to quote the reg number.

Not actually sure I can see the problem - they may have hacked your cable about to install it - but a meter wouldn't usually be a problem ??

What are you thinking of in terms of "non compliance"

It would have been better if thesy was glanded into a box and the meter was fitted directly ontop of the box, so that conductors were not visible

Rough job

Single insulated conductors springs to mind along with the steel on the SY is now broken and therefore possibly not earthed

Dog rough if you ask me.

as FM has said, either a box or a length of trunking with the meter sat on top

Regulation 526.8 requires the cores of sheathed cables from which the sheath has been removed, and non-sheathed cables at the termination of conduit, trunking or ducting, to be enclosed as required by Regulation 526.5.
