A site I was at today has two 3 phase rec meters in series. According to the stickers and seals, both belong to the supply company and look as though they have been there for a very long time (indeed one of them might very well have been installed by Edison). any ideas why this may be? it certainly causes confusion when the meter is read. apparently often huge bills are received because the wrong meter has been read. would post a picture, but not worked out how to attach it yet.

----2 meters in series indicates an account query is in progress.
the 1st meter is the check meter, the 2nd is the disputed meter. that said, if they have been in many years, the query is resolved and the 1st meter removed. ask the supplier. Regards. |

@hibby....Post the pictures elsewhere and then post the link here. I don't think there is the facility here, at present.
@UKPN ......Thanks for that info. It appears that the problem hasn't been resolved. The meters are still in place, after what appears to be a long time, and the bills are still too high. What is the time period for a resolution. It can't be more than a year, surely ?
