I would appreciate if someone could provide some standards regarding the installation (e.g clearance) of DC power cables buried in a trench.
Are they any specs when installing lots of DC power cables in the same trench? Thanks. |

Keep +ve and -ve close together (for each circuit) - ideally use earthed metal containment (SWA cable is ideal) to get a bit of inductance to damp potential inductive surges . Then provide seperation of at least 2 x cable diameter from each circuit.
Personally, I'd be using a pit and duct system with min 100mm dia ducts - one per circuit Use labelling tapes warning of what's below if you do bury direct or the same above the duct if you go that way Regards OMS ------------------------- Failure is always an option |
