Hi,
Is it allowed by 17th edition to couple wires inside steel conduit box.
Had this situation at work but I had used standard junction box.

Learn somfink nu everyday on here.

Still trying to imagine:
"Is it allowed by 17th edition to couple wires inside steel conduit box.

Nope, still don't understand so I'd better see if I can actually get a standard joint box inside a steel conduit box and fit both lids.

Got it.
I fitted a standard joint box to the cover fixings (same space apart), brought the cables through the back, by drilling a couple of holes.
Not the way I've done it before, but then I've not done a 17th edition course.

I'm sure there must be an easier way.

You'll be wanting a couple of by stock bi-pin to BC adaptors next so you don't have to repaint the ceiling (told you I was lazy!)
