Was called to a job today, where the rcd has been nuscence tripping, when using various different circuits on the none rcd side of a 16th edition consumer unit. On arrival my 1st thoughts was that there was a shared neutral somewhere but after abit if investigating this dosnt seem to be the case. Any ideas guys?

Have you tried un-plugging various items or done any insulation tests yet? Don't forget N-E tests, see my post earlier this week re-100m/a rcd tripping,

N-E fault for sure - as you add load the RCD will go - doesn't matter what circuit the load is being supplied from

I had this trouble once before.. Some one had connected the cooker and put the n+e together, it was fine until something got switched on , on that rcd, at the time all that was there was a drill and kettle....
