I have a Fluke 434 which comes in a nylon cloth case. I want to get a hard case for it and fancy one of those hard plastic cases. Does anyone know what they are called so I can search Ebay for one?

My 434 came with a rigid 'attache' style case that had location slots for the CTs, charger, meter and documentation.

You might want to give Fluke UK a call a they might do the case as a an accessory or spare.

They are called flight cases:

Google 'Small Flight Case' - You'd cut the sponge padding to fit with these.

or

Google 'Bespoke Flight Case' - They'd cut the sponge for you.

I've known people have small flight cases made for items as varied as pistols and microphones.

Mind you, seeing the £340.00 cost of the Fluke one... You could get a bespoke one on rollers made for half that.

For anything else, CPC do there own version which is almost as good.

The CPC ones look good. I am not sure if they come with the foam though? The one on wheels looks a bit big although it is similar to the Fluke one. The next size down may do the trick but I need to lay up my meter and accessories and have a measure.

Mike does yours have the clamps or loops. Mine is the MK2 with loops so may fit in a smaller case?

John, I got http://cpc.farnell.com/jsp/lev...oduleId=cpc/266668.xml its great for the 1553 megger, the compartments I have moves slightly to fit megger and light mates, and leave me 2 other compartments beside megger for spare batteries, fuses, small probes etc and one large compartment for all test least etc,

Had mine for prob obout two years and without the cosmetic damage scrapes etc its as good as was when new,

Oh also forgot the leather probe tray in lid unclips and this is where I keep all our blank certificates etc to be stored so there not lost or lying about job/van/office etc. Best £20 I spent in a long long time.

My case is identical to the link however for some reason mine is 100% aluminimum however same purpose and structure.
