Trying to complete my qualifications to get out as an electrician and get my ecs card updated.
I have 17th, level 2&3 2330. I know the 2357 consists of the AM2 ,2330, and 2356 combined but would me registering for the 2356 now be the better path to take?? And less cost effective as I have seen some silly prices for the 2357 course! Do I also need the AM2?? Thanks |

From a financial and general ease of completion point of view, register for the 2356 before the cutoff in December. If you go the 2357, you'll have to complete all the performance units (NVQ style) and the environmental unit (302, done in class) as well as the AM2.
If you are dedicated, have a good range of work and get a good assessor, you can complete your NVQ right on top of the 12 week minimum claim rule. Do your AM2 in between and you'll be getting your grading card by February. Regardless of the route, unless you have been working in the industry for 5 years (verifiable and pre starting any electrical qualification), you'll have to do the AM2. ------------------------- http://www.electricalqualifications.co.uk http://www.electricalexams.co.uk http://www.electricalrevision.co.uk |

Ok cheers mate
What else can you tell me about the AM2? Do I need it to do the NVQ level 3? Is there a separate course for AM2 at the moment? When the AM2 gets included in with the 2357, will there be a desperate AM2 course then? Sorry to bombard you with questions just trying to sort it and get qualified the best way for quals and knowledge but also save me the pennies. |
