Yes I did hear that last year once the PIRAS club pulled out their slideshow it went a bit down hill from there!!

Well, looks like I'll be let out on my own without my wife to keep an eye on me. The Defib could come in handy if discussions get heated!

At risk of spoiling the fun, there is an advanced weather warning about for heavy snow in Essex on the 15th.
Now knowing how well they done last night, I'm not too concerned but I would suggest we all keep an eye on it before making final plans.... And OMS, it's snow, not turkey feathers or any thing else white that you want to suggest Stu |

LoL - you Essex boys - there was great consternation early this morning after a few white ones fluttered down as well
Although I guess a good covering makes the orange people easier to spot - "innit luvley though, Sha - like, totally, Trace - shall we have some Baileys, we could put snow in instead of ice - totally reem - the rest will be well jel" - Have a good one chaps (and ladies) Regards OMS ------------------------- Failure is always an option |

You not going Oms?
It's bad enough that I'm not going to be able to lock RnR and John Peckham in a room together at the premier inn to talk about eicr codes! Who is going? If you do go Oms will you be staying the night? You could room with UKPN. |

I'm bloody miles from Essex - I worked in Chelmsford on one project - it takes about 6 hours to drive home.
That said, I'll be a little closer that weekend - so who knows, if I'm still in London on the saturday I might just rock up and say hello. Now that I would pay good money to see LoL - get a room means something totally different where I come from Best Regards OMS ------------------------- Failure is always an option |

LoL - you Essex boys - there was great consternation early this morning after a few white ones fluttered down as well Hey that was proper wrong type of snow this morning I'll have you know. You Welshies simply don't understand how delicate we are in Buckinghamshire do you? Even the trains don't like a little flutter so we have to think about Stu's comment. Left work at about 5.45 this evening. To Marylebone for a nice warm train... All trains to out here cancelled and all tubes. Mayhem of grumpiness and shoving. I walked away from it all after half an hour and simply got on a Tube to Uxbridge in the end. Then a £45 taxi fare to my car in the local station car park. Got home at ten past nine. No LOL. but but but, we do need to arrange a contigency plan in case of foul weather if Stu is correct. And give some thought to any who may be travelling far (Andy Sparkingchip is one I think). I'm just thinking, maybe we do this night out in March or something? But I'm looking forward to catching up with Jobbo and Sparkingchip and the rest all the same and will try to get there. I've got these fantastic new pythagoras drawings which you simply must see, and an app that does inspection and testing for us to have a go with in the pub Today's advent calendar picture is good R&R. Zs edit rubbish tired spelling. Having vodka and russchian for dinner. |

I suspect if they expect snow, there will be none and if they don't, there will, just like this morning
After spending 3 weeks in Wales on a project, I was glad to be back in Essex this week. You don't appreciate how great the floods are in the west unless you see it with your own eyes. Ive been knees deep in mud with only daylight between 8 and 4, my head torch became the most essential bit of kit. See you all there! Weather permitting |

I suspect there was a woman involved in that hurry Pete.
Who is in charge of this committee? Looks like 15th Dec, 19.00 at the Grange in Chelmsford Paul. You coming? I shall shake your paw and thank you for the endorsements. Zs |

Cheap & near as I'll have to hire a car to get there! |

It's next to a premier inn. So not too bad for price. I'm coming from Northampton so I'd have to stop over too. How many will turn up?
Nobody has took the bait on my BFOEN reference. It's the British Federation Of Electrical Nerds. I will have application forms with me as I am the president of his organisation. |
