Excellent person. You will not have any problems with him. Just be yourself, he is not looking to trick you, just to make sure you are "competant".

If he's like the NIC he'll want to see PI, all the books and certs, meter and means of checking it or calibration, 2 decent electrical installation certs, Ze, Zs, R1+R2, RCD, a few questions on Zs figures, RCD times, he said today he has failed a few !! Dont take the cover off without isolation and then test to make sure it's off.

NAPIT should send you by email a list of what they expect you to have ready and in order for the paperwork. I think it used to be in their members downloads section on the NAPIT website. It saves everybody time. If you can't get your paperwork organised you havent much hope to start impressing them later on.

As others have said basic details but expect some questions on any figures on any certificates they look at.

They all have a tick list of questions - if you are lucky its in the same order as last years. As for the site visits - you can get any questions about anything but RC will check competence and knowledge - he is a good guy and not looking to trip you up - unlike certain NICEIC guys who always used to seem to make up their own rules.

Time to stock up on the chocolate hobnobs.
