customer wants twin sockets for her "computer" and "can they be filter/surge protected". I tried seaching and found nothing. I remember seeing filter sockets a few years ago, cannot remember where or who made them, can anyone suggest a supply/manfacturer?

Go to the RS site and type in K1826, expensive though.

I agree with dp11 a UPS would be a better specification but as FM says its what the customer asked for ........... Thank you again all who responded. |

Is this a real risk for this installation?
If so, then simply providing filtered outlets would not achieve the goal - SPDs covering the relevant categories of overvoltage would be required at relevant points of the installation. BS7671: 2008 (2011) covers this. ------------------------- Eur Ing Graham Kenyon CEng MIET |
