When your considering the current carrying capacities of SWA if you are using a 3 core as single phase and earth then I am pretty certain you use the values under the two core single phase table and not the lesser 3 core 3 phase values. Correct me if I am wrong.

Correct - you only have two loaded cores not 3 so you can run more current through each core for the same temperature rise.
technically you could actually do something between the tabulated values for 2 core and 3-4 core as you have a slightly bigger surface area on the 3 core to lose heat - conservative to stick to the two core value though - and i know you like conservative design regards OMS ------------------------- Failure is always an option |

You know I like conservative design. Well I never. I've had all 4 grand children here wrecking the place and keeping me awake all night and yet that comment still brought a big smile to my face if not a chuckle. That obvious hey?
