Zs and I posted a reply to someone wanting to know how to 'network' .
I presume it was thought by the Moderators to be something more than a simple question.
Ok, that's fine but I'm sure that both Zs and I gave answers without suspecting any hidden agenda, so it would be nice that when posts are removed they should be followed by an explanation... Don't you think?

However, no explanation required to why the earlier post in the day was removed...

I don't think it is a case of missing posts but more of missing topic where, if it is the one I'm thinking about, the OP's first post was put on 6 or 7 categories and presumabably breeched the Rules.... As such, the removal of the OP also removed the subsequent posts.

I noticed that too Legh, I figured the OP'er had deleted. At least nothing too special for the archive being discussed eh?

Zs (in extreme happy mode... forgetting electrics for a while; the big 50 approaches rapidly and the signature word of the last week in the forties is treat. I've started with Les Paul, and Tickets to 2012. Does it get any better? byeee for now ).

It does - More guitars! Treat yourself to one to only play open tuning on and put matched strings on it! Make sure you play it every other day at least.

Speaking as a man sent to Consumer Technology on a Saturday night, I think the only "hidden agenda" is reminding us there is more than one category of discussion forum on this site.

I come straight into the Wiring and Regulations discussions by typing "the" in the Google address bar, however if you come in this way http://www.theiet.org/forums/f...d=1&?origin=foot-links you get the total number of topics in each category, this section is way in the lead by over twenty six thousand topics, whilst some have less than ten topics.

So perhaps we are getting a gentle nudge to expand out onto the other available discussion boards rather than posting all topics here on the Wiring and Regulations.

On the other hand it could be I have a over active imagination

Andy, that makes sense.. There often appears posts which are directly aimed at some form of 3rd party advertising, which bypasses the conditions of use. I'd assumed that this is why it had disappeared. But I had obviously mislead myself.
