Hi , I am new to this Niceic stuff so a bit of advice needed.
I am about to install 38 x tap off units to an underfloor busbar system . Each tap off is going to supply one twin socket mounted to the underside of a desk. Question : do I need to do a minor works for each of the tap off points or is there a way I can put them all on one . I would normally have downloaded the iet blank forms and filled them in but now being an niceic member I have to use their forms. Advice please Regards |

Do you need any at all - essentially you are just "plugging in" an extension lead.
At worst I would ask for one per bus bar (12 I recall) - ie one per circuit regards OMS ------------------------- Failure is always an option |

I know nothing about the system you're working on but normally it's one MWC for each circuit you've modified, eg if you add three sockets to a ring final it's only one MWC,

i would also just do one, recording the worst results from your test's.
one other point, just because you are now niceic you don't "have" to use their forms, i use ones that come with easycert. ------------------------- Vince Prove Dead Stay Alive Christmas Cards for trades people http://www.tradegreetingcards.com |

Thanks for advice.
I actually got this job on the strength of being a member and certificates have been asked for. I like the idea of one for each busbar and record the highest Zs. Makes sense. Regards |
