I'm not aware of an actual Thai standard if there is one it will be on the Engineering Institute of Thailand site http://www.eit.or.th/ get your Thai reading skills out.

I would imagine that any major structures would be using one of the international standards (I know nothing about LPS systems mind), BS whatever would likely make a good starting point.

For small structures nobody bothers until the roof has been blown off by a strike, Wats (temples) however always have conductors.

Are you intending moving to the Land of Smiles? Do you drink beer?

An affirmative response to both means we need to meet up We're located about 50km north of BKK and I work in the central district of BKK (Asoke).

For domestic and small business they tend to follow NFPA 780 but for larger projects especially where there is EU influence the IEC 62305 series is better suited, although there is another in the IEEE series for heavy industry, power stations, refinerys etc; probably get yourself a copy of the NEC code as this is more suited to the systems in place in that area.

If your looking for work there was information a short while ago that the Chinese were going to construct a large industrial complex along with a power station, no surprise there!
