Does this reg cover the increasing use of shower CU's being fed from henley's using 10mm insulated and sheathed cable.

I would have said yes (rather like the oldenday practice of having many cast iron switch fuses before the days of CUs). That said, it's likely that there is adequate fault protection - from the cut-out fuse, if things are calculated.
