Hi,
I'm working on a scheme that will have a switchboard with 3No. sections all fed from 3No. separate 1.5MVA transformers (11kV/400V). The sections will be linked by bus-couplers (non-auto 3 pole ACB with a solid link neutral) to allow a section to be fed from the adjacent board during a transformer failure or during planned maintenance. The transformers are not to be paralled and have the relevant interlocks to ensure this. My concern is that the solid unswitched neutral link will give rise to circulating currents between the separately feed sections of the main switchboard, during faults etc, moreover, there is a requirements that the transformers are not to paralleled. Could you please advise if my concerns are valid? Thanks Wam Akolwa |
