I may be missing something but my understanding is that the Emergency lighting standard BS5266-1 is now at the 2005 version.

I have noticed some docs still refer to the 1999 version particularly the Scottish Building Standards.
I believe this version has been withdrawn.

I would appreciate some constructive feedback as to what members understand is the current version???

Its a bit of a heirachy now:

Base guidance document:

BS 5266-1- 2005 Emergency lighting-Part 1: Code of practice for emergency lighting of premises.

System standards:

BS EN 1838:1999/ BS 5266-7:1999 Lighting applications - Emergency lighting.

BS EN 50172:2004/ BS 5266-8:2004 Emergency escape lighting systems

Does that help
