I have visited a property that has no RCD protection. The Client's 4 way extension went on fire,( water from the fish tank onto 4 way, fortunately no major damage, scorched laminate flooring).
Surely a 30mA RCD main switch would have helped in this situation ?

Better to inconvenience than a full blown fire, possibly
