Just wondering what folks' views are on the updated requirement for all manual call points to have protective covers now as opposed to just those potentially subject to malicious operation etc.?

Previously covers had to be listed as a variation, where now it seems that omitting them is the variation - although I can see no mention of having to record them as such.

That is my understanding, that protective covers are now needed on MCPs to reduce malicious or accidental operation. I also understand that where a cover is not fitted, this needs to be recorded as a variation.

Regards,

Alan.

The morons will soon catch on that all they need to do is lift the flap!
