What are the current (and future) measurement challenges around Building Performance Evaluation (domestic and non-domestic)?
NPL want to hear what measurement challenges are out there currently and what are likely to exist in the future. What issues are there around the calculations/ models used? What information can/ can't we derive from the data we have, what else can we do with it? Do we have enough empirical data? NPL are currently running an event to get community insights - if interested please register to come along. If not, you thoughts are welcome here. The event details are here: Link removed/events/5-...ilding-performance-gap |

Good luck with this one! My personal view is that to a large extent human behaviour is what determines how a building performs. Trying to Understand human behaviour and the way buildings interact with their occupants is very interesting, but you will not get any results that allow you to predict much. |
