I am currently close to completeing my B-TEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering and am looking at my options for next year. Ideally I am looking to gaining a degree however am struggling to find courses down here in the South (Dorset) that cater for instrumentation. I have seen distance learning through Teeside Uni as one option doing instrument and control, and maybe going to Southampton Solent (however this is not instrumentation just electronic engineering) but am not sure on other viable options.

Obviously i dont want to be in education for masses of time, a nd the southampton one says i can do a hnc in 2 years, then top this up to a degree in another 2.

Does anyone have any info on the best course of action? i work in the oil and gas industry,
