This is the phrase in my specification.

"The generator set shall operate at an ambient temperature of 50°C maximum and shall also operate at high relative humidity 95% RH at all ambient temperature experienced locally. " (1500kVA diesel generator prime rated)

When i started reviewing the material submittal, the manufacturer complied that the proposed assembly (diesel engine with alternator) will deliver the required power output at 50 deg C.

I assume/believe engines and alternators are not manufactured to operate at 50 deg C. I just want to know is there any IEC standard to which these alternators and engines are manufactured ? If so please provide me the numbers so that i will get to know the derating factors if any is needed to be considered . .
