Hello folks, just a quick query. Building with 12 flats, intake position in basement plant room along with ryefield, seperate metering and switch fuse for each flat. SWA cable from switch fuse to each flat.
Are the swa sub main cables under the scope of ena er g87 and/or bs7671? Initally i thought that unmetered cables and not sub mains are under the scope of ena er g87....is that correct? Thanks in advance

They're in a building so all defiantly under BS7671. They are also service cables so fall under G87 (DNO) and Energy Supplier / MOp rules. Your the customer side of the Meter so I can't think of anything in G87 that wouldn't be required in BS7671? You will need to terminate the SWA in a 6x6 trunking, with the correct slots cut in to marry up with the meter positions and sleeve the cores as they pass from the trunking to the meter. Contact EDF energy and ask for metering standard details. There are also standard layouts in the WPD SD5C doc.
