Arc flash protection

It is usually the case that before working on or near high energy electrical sources that they are isolated, see: Safe working on or near high energy electrical sources and Arc flash protection .
However if a risk assessment results in the requirement for the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) then care should be taken to ensure that it is specified, used and maintained properly.
