About this event:
Zero Carbon Building within a Smart Cosmopolitan in Greater Bay Area – The Hong Kong Approach on Global Platform
Zero carbon building in Hong Kong is still in its embryonic stage. In this cosmopolitan city, buildings account for some 90% of electricity consumption and electricity in turn accounts for more than 60% of the total local emissions. Therefore greening our buildings is no doubt pivotal in achieving our carbon reduction targets.
To demonstrate how eco-design combined with active green technologies can greatly reduce the emissions of buildings, and produce a more comfortable, healthier living environment for all. The symposium aims at discussing the challenge and opportunities arise in mapping out a holistic and sustainable development approach and how a smart design philosophy for a low carbon building can enhance the quality of life. It will also cover recent achievements and future technological developments related to energy conservation and carbon reduction initiatives.
The 17th Annual Power Symposium 2018 provides a forum for professionals, practitioners, academics and researchers to exchange and share ideas and experiences related to the main theme.
