This talk highlights the dangers of applying unmodified information security principles to your engineering environment and looks at how your industrial structure impacts on operational security.

The knowledge gap between the Engineering and Information Security professions will be explained as well as the Impact of Security on Safety along with role of Production and Distribution in Safety.

Therefore the talk will cover the following topics:
• The knowledge gap between the Engineering and the I.T. professionals
• The Impact of Security on Safety, the Environment, Engineering Assets aswell as Reputation
• The concept of an extended Denial of Service Attack
• The value of Information in an Operational Technology world
• WHO should be responsible for Operational Technology Security?
