About this event

Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Sony’s PlayStation VR, Samsung’s Gear VRit can not have gone unnoticed over the past two to three years that there has been a frenzy of interest in Virtual Reality, touted by some as the future of entertainment and gaming.  More recently, Pokémon Go took the world by storm   But is that it?  Are VR and AR doomed to a future of entertainment-only applications?
Do gamers even continue to use the technology once the “wow” factor has passed?  Is it really necessary to don head-mounted displays, interactive gloves and all manner of other wearable technologies to benefit from VR experiences?  And what about so-called cyber-sickness?
