About this event

Speaker: Andrew Douglass, Engineering Director
Liberty House Group are pursuing a GREENSTEEL strategy to turn the tide for UK manufacturing. Their acquisition of the Tata Steel Speciality Steels assets in May 2017 provided them with a significant step forward in achieving this aim. In the 9 months since the purchase Speciality Steels have reversed some of  the asset closures and are re-establishing customer links in a more positive economic environment. The talk will cover the transition of Speciality Steels into the Liberty House Group, the GreenSteel strategy with asset reconfiguration, and how a more holistic approach will help shape the future of Speciality Steels.

Robotic systems are perhaps at their most valuable when carrying out tasks that would otherwise put humans in danger. In some cases they give us visibility or enable operations in environments so extreme humans could not even wilfully venture - space, nuclear and deep subsea.
