About this event

The use of unmanned systems has long been constrained to “dull, dirty, dangerous” applications. While well suited to these tasks they are also able to operate “beyond human performance”. By focussing the use of unmanned systems in this way a number of sectors will experience a step change in capability and productivity. Currently, the UK government is focussed on three pathfinder application areas: Agriculture, Energy and Logistics. These will demonstrate utility and transferable knowledge. This lecture will outline the current uses of unmanned systems and how they can be utilised with greater effectiveness in the coming years.
