About this event

Blockchain is a shared, trusted, public ledger that everyone can inspect, but no single user can control.  The participants in a blockchain system collectively keep the ledger up to date:  it can be amended only accordingly to strict rules and by general agreement.  The potential of Blockchain extends beyond electronic currency.  The speaker will discuss the information infrastructure that could possibly change the world.

Biography of the Speaker:
Paul T.C. Fung is the Director and CEO of various FinTech solution providers, including Verdict ID Limited and OCU-Gen Limited, as well as the Non-Executive Director of ECI Technology Holdings Limited, a listed company specializing in ELV solutions.

Being a renowned industrial leader and innovative technology promoter, he is the Vice-Chairman of Hong Kong Blockchain Association and Internet Professional Association, and a committee member in Hong Kong Linux Industrial Association.  He has served the Hong Kong Government through various forums and working groups, including the Working Group on Cloud Security and Privacy and the Government’s Public Affairs Forum.   He is also the Academic Advisor of the Hong Kong Shue Yan University.  

Mr. Fung is a regular commentator on innovative technology, particularly on information security, cloud computing and FinTech, well loved by the media.  He is also the guest anchor for various TV programmes promoting advance technology.
