About this event

In the 100th anniversary of the RAF we are please to welcome representatives of the RAF Mountain Rescue Service.  Members of this service have rescued thousands of civilian walkers and climbers and responded to hundreds of aircraft crashes.

There are RAF Mountain Rescue bases established in England, Scotland and Wales.  The English base is located at RAF Leeming in Yorkshire, where our speakers are based.  Craig and Petrina will speak about their training, responsibilities and the many challenges they undertake.  They will also talk about some of the missions they have undertaken.

Light refreshments will be available from 10:30 and the talk will commence at 11:00.  This will be followed by a three course lunch costing £20.

It is not essential to register for the talk but it assists with catering requirements.  Register using the link provided.

Lunch must be booked by returning the flyer that accompanied the Programme Card or by contacting Brian Grady on 01539 533863.

Free event - optional chargeable lunch follows
