About this event

Richard Govier (Socomec Limited) will give descriptions of Battery Energy Storage Systems and their applications.  He will look at case studies in France in Italy.  Richard will also look at a business case for battery energy storage.
Richard Govier is the Technical Director of Socomec U.K. Limited.  [https://uk.linkedin.com/in/richard-govier-683b4116]Richard has a BSc(Hons) in  Electrical & Electronic Engineering from University College, Cardiff as well as PhD  in the application of microprocessors in control of computer networks. 
He is a Chartered engineer (CEng MIET) and is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.  Prior to joining Socomec he worked for Panduit/Unite managing its power product line and more recently as Senior Manager Global Operations for the Intelligent Managed Serviced (IMS) Business Unit.  Before that he worked in a variety of R&D, consultancy, operational and technical director roles.

Free car parking adjacent to building; opposite Alexandra Park.  Please use Car Park D off Queen Alexandra Road; postcode for Satnav is HP11 2JZ.  (Please do not use car park C which is opposite the hospital.)

Car park D is opposite blocks of apartments approximately 200m up the road from the roundabouts at the bottom of Marlow Hill.  The LEFT HAND entrance barrier is usually raised from 6.45 pm onwards. If it is not raised, use the pillar-mounted intercom to contact the security office.  The adjacent barrier rises automatically on exit.
Once parked, please then walk to the Owen Harris Building situated at the down-hill side of the car park, alongside Queen Alexandra Road.
