About this event

Present Around the World Competition (PATW).

Make a 10 minute presentation on an engineering topic and win £150 first prize or £100 second prize.  

The IET presentation competition is for young professionals aged 18 to 30, on a subject related to engineering and technology. Talk for 10 minutes on a subject related to engineering or technology and win a cash prize at every level, including £1,000 for the Global Final. The competition takes place throughout the world and starts at IET Local Network level. Winners of all the Local Network heats progress to the next stage(s) of the competition.

First heat starts at 17.00hrs
Finish at 20.00hrs

Reasons to attend

This is a great opportunity to get your first experience in public speaking, in a supportive environment.  Just about everyone in engineering has to talk about his or her work to an audience sometimes, and the boost in confidence that this competition gives can be worthwhile for the rest of your career.
