About this event

HKSAR government has recently released a consultancy study report on smart city blueprint of H.K. and highlighted the importance of electric vehicle for attaining smart mobility for our future city.  Indeed, many countries have already taken steps to replace the petrol or diesel engine vehicles by electric vehicle (EV). Target deadlines were set to complete the process that demonstrates how imminent the changes we are facing.  However, the increasing adoption of EVs will not happen without the development of the appropriate Electric Vehicle Supply and Equipment (EVSE) and electric charger (EV) infrastructure.

Our government has taken numerous measures to facilitate the transition, including requirements of 100% EV enabling car park designs of new building and 30% of which shall have charger installed.  Gross Floor Area (GFA) tax concession has been given to drive the overall process.  It is therefore necessary for E&M and building and facilities management professionals to equip with the required knowledge and understandings to tackle the coming and potential challenges ahead.
This seminar will discuss how the total EVSE charger infrastructure solution is built by using an open protocol for big data sharing with charger as the core component of Internet-of-thing (IOT) design for smart city development.

- Overview of EV & EV charger infrastructure development in H.K. for its roadmap towards a smart city
- International standards of EV chargers & the implementation challenges for EVSE industry
- Design and build the right EV charger solutions to meet the market needs and different customer’s requirements
